Preventing the summer slide
Summer is here! Any teacher you know is rejoicing about finally being out of school and being able to rest and relax in the sun or by the pool. However, many teachers spend at least part of the summer learning about content, teaching, or new things to add to the classroom in the fall. Though professional development is sometimes offered during the school year, most PD is offered during summer break because teachers do not miss crucial work time to attend.
